Music: What I'm Frequenting

What's simmering in the music pot these days? Well, i've been tuning into a few key bands since March and thought i'd share some recommendations.

Youth Lagoon. I'm into 'em. Here's a little taste of a tune of their's that i've been frequenting recently:

I'm also pretty into The Walkmen these days and have been waiting with baited breath for their upcoming album. Have you heard the song Heaven yet?

Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys is a must-listen. His solo stuff is so choice. I recommend the songs "Trouble Weighs a Ton," and "Goin' Home" in particular.

My friend Elizabeth who is a grad student in sound design recommended I start listening to Dr. John earlier this year and I haven't regretted the decision to heed her advice yet. Dr. John puts out new music like nobody's business and his new stuff is pretty good. Check out the song "Revolution" when you get a chance.

And while we're at it, look who just recently collaborated. Yep, Auerbach just produced Dr. John's new album. Here's a glimpse from Jimmy Fallon.

That's all for now but there's more to come later!
