...no play makes R a very dull girl. With that thought in mind, this weekend i'm branching out for a nice lil blend of work and relaxation as my third quarter of design school gets into full swing. Tomorrow i'm heading down to Austin by way of Atlanta for the Design for Social Impact Bootcamp, put on by the friendly and smart folks at the
Austin Center for Design and
HourSchool, a neat startup that facilitates community-based learning. During my downtime, I plan on doing a little hopping around town. On my list are a few must-returns from my last visit:
Bows and Arrows is a wonderful boutique with a minimalist, western feel.
Oooh, and check out this lovely bracelet that I spotted on the
Arrow + Arrow website. Too pricey for my student budget, but one can always admire from afar, right?
Zilker Park, previously missed due to overcrowding for the Christmas tree lighting, might be a great place for an early spring swim.
Annnd...Blue Dahlia Bistro. Amazing, amazing brunch, and a great french bakery vibe (see food below).
Stay tuned for more, because i'm just gearing up!
